THE BELLINGHAM HERALDSeptember 27, 2013

Sehome volleyball defeated Squalicum 25-10, 25-18, 25-18 on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Squalicum. The Mariners were led by Megan Greer's 29 assists, as she spread the ball around to each of Sehome's five hitters.

"We had heard a lot about (Squalicum's) libero, so we kept the ball away from her and had some success passing on our side of the court," Sehome coach Kristy White said in a phone interview. "They came back strong after the first set."

Dani Johnson also had 14 kills for the Mariners, and teammate Taylor Lyall added 12 more kills.

Sehome's next match is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Ferndale against the Golden Eagles. Squalicum's next match is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at home against Meridian.
