Lynden Christian volleyball sweeps Mount Baker

Lynden Chrstian volleyball defeated Mount Baker in three sets, 25-13, 25-16, 25-14 on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Mount Baker. The Lyncs were led by Karley De Jager's 10 kills and Kara Bajema's eight kills and five digs.

"We were attacking the ball really well. The team combined for 35 kills, which is a lot," Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. "We were able to minimize our errors, which we've been working on."

Madison Weg added 19 assists and five kills for Lynden Christian. Mount Baker was led by Emily Yost's 14 assists and Sara Verry's 12 digs.

Lynden Christian's next match is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, when the Lyncs host Burlington-Edison. Mount Baker takes on Nooksack Valley at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Nooksack Valley.
