Hollander, De Vries score twice in LC win

The Lynden Christian girls' soccer team defeated Mount Baker 6-0 on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Mount Baker.

Livi Vander Griend scored the Lyncs' first goal in the fifth minute, and Courtney Hollander followed that up with two goals of her own before the half.

"I was thrilled with their effort today," Lynden Christian coach Brent De Ruyter said in a phone interview. "We were really dynamic (up) front."

Sally Vlas scored off an assist from Hollander in the 56th minute, and Sierra De Vries added the final two goals to seal Lynden Christian's second win in three matches.
