The Bellingham and Meridian girls' soccer teams battled to a 2-2 tie Thursday, Sept. 26, at Northwest Fields.

Mary Dyrland and Cashel Vincent combined to score the Red Raiders' only two goals in the 10th and 14th minutes, respectively.

Meridian came out in the second half playing at a much higher level, which eventually turned into two goals by Haley Belanger. Belanger scored the game-tying goal in the 72nd minute.

"They played high risk, high reward tonight," Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. "Meridian came out in the second half and dictated the pace of the game."
