Bellingham boys' tennis defeated Lynden 7-0, Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Lynden YMCA. Bellingham only lost one set in all seven matches against the Lions.
The lone set lost came in Connor Thompson and Nick Nolan's doubles win over Lynden's Dakota Davis and Ben Mulder as the Bellingham duo won the first and third sets, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
"(Davis and Mulder) didn't really play a good first set, but they came back to play a really good second set," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. "They really battle back close every time they play."
Lynden's next match is at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at Sehome, while Bellingham takes on Squalicum at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at Squalicum.
