Western Washington University's Jack Kelly fired a 4-under 68 to tie for fourth individually and the Vikings tied for eighth in the team standings at the 42nd Annual WWU Men's Golf Invitational Tournament which ended Tuesday at the 6,561-yard Bellingham Golf and Country Club.
The defending champion Vikings, ranked No. 9 in the Division II Preseason Top 25 Poll, shot a final-round 293 for a 54-hole total of 893.
British Columbia, which was third after 36 holes Monday, shot 9-under par 279, the best round of the tourney, to win by five strokes at 867. Sonoma State was second at 872 (285).
Dixie State's Kenny You hung on to take medalist honors, shooting 69 for a 10-under total of 206.
WWU's Mark Strickland, the defending tourney champion, had his first round disqualified because of a subsequent scoring ruling. He shot 73 in Monday's second round and 74 on Tuesday.
