Lynden Christian girls' soccer defeats Bellingham

Lynden Christian girls' soccer defeated Bellingham 4-2 on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Lynden Christian. Shelby Brown had two goals for the Lyncs and Sally Vlas added two assists.

Lynden Christian assistant coach Butch Kamena said in phone interview that it was the first time Lynden Christian had beaten a city school.

"Shelby Brown had a huge game, she made some huge plays defensively," Kamena said. "She's a center-back, so it was good for her to score."

Mia Hodges and Kylie Clark netted Bellingham's goals.
