Nooksack Valley volleyball sweeps Blaine

Nooksack Valley volleyball defeated Blaine in straight sets, 25-13, 25-22, 25-13 on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Blaine. Lindsay Hayes had 14 kills for the Pioneers in their win.

"We did a really good job on serve-receive and our defense was really consistent," Nooksack Valley coach Katie Emmons said in a phone interview.

Mariah Perry had 24 digs for the Pioneers and Abbi Steele added 22 assists.

Nooksack Valley's next match is at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, at home against Mount Baker. Blaine's next match is at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at Anacortes.
