Squalicum pulls out win in rain-shortened match

The Squalicum boys' tennis team defeated Anacortes 4-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Squalicum.

The Storm's doubles' pairings were particularly strong in the rain-shortened match, winning all three of their matches in straight sets.

"I was pleased with how the doubles played today," Squalicum coach Joe O'Brien said in a phone interview.

Carter Nickelson and Tyler Hoback opened up their match with a strong first set, but had to fight through a tough second set to pull out the win.
