WWU's Miles named Offensive Players of the Week

Western Washington University forward Catherine Miles has been named the Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 15-21.

Miles, a sophomore from Anacortes, scored twice and provided an assist as the nationally No. 4-ranked Vikings cruised to a pair of road victories over Northwest Nazarene 3-0 and Montana State Billings 4-1 to remain undefeated in five games this season.

Miles leads WWU with nine points, and is tied for team honors in goals and assists with three each.

WWU midfielder Kim Cooper, a junior from Bellingham, received GNAC Defensive POW honorable mention.
