Lynden Performing Arts Guild presents "Some Enchanted Evening," a revue that features five performers singing the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein in a theatrical setting, first "backstage," where the songs are sung as personal interplay, and then "onstage."
The show, which is part of the upcoming Lynden Music Festival, is performed as a tribute to the late Claire vg Thomas, sometimes known in the Lynden community as "Mrs. Rodgers and Hammerstein," because she was accompanist for the Broadway team for people who auditioned for their musicals from 1947 to 1949. Celeste Larson directs.
Performances run Thursday, Sept. 26, through Oct. 13 at Claire vg Thomas Theatre, Dutch Village Mall, 655 Front St. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 seniors and students, and $8 children. Details: clairevgtheatre.com, 360- 354-4425.
