Mariners boys' tennis sweeps Burlington-Edison

The Sehome boys' tennis team won each of its seven matches in straight sets to beat Burlington-Edison 7-0 during a Northwest Conference match Friday, Sept. 20, at Burlington-Edison High School.

Singles players Brady Anderson, Max Shmotolohka, Reece Gilbert and Sam Humphreys beat their opponents, and each of the Mariners' doubles teams made quick work of the Tigers.

"I think this was the first of our four matches we played well from top to bottom," Sehome coach Bonna Giller said in a phone interview. "I was really pleased today."

Sehome (4-0, 4-0 NWC) competes in the Sehome Crossover next at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in Lake Washington.
