Kim Dorr's hat trick propelled Squalicum girls' soccer to a 5-2 win over Burlington-Edison on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Burlington-Edison. Dorr scored the Storm's first two goals, then added her third with just two minutes left to play.

"Kim had a great game. We've been working on finishing with our forwards and we did that well tonight," Squalicum coach David Kish said in a phone interview.

Kim Hazlett had an assist and scored Squalicum's other two goals, and Storm goalkeeper Bailey Canup had two saves.

The Squalicum defense was able to keep Burlington-Edison's attack in check, but Evie Breckenridge still managed to break through and score two goals. Kish said the defense did a good job making sure a second defender was there to help cover the Burlington-Edison attack.

Squalicum's next game is against Jackson on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Civic Field.
