WTA route changes begin Sunday

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDSeptember 19, 2013

Whatcom Transportation Authority will change some routes and eliminate one altogether starting Sunday, Sept. 22.

Route 46, Squalicum Harbor, will be discontinued because transit officials decided the route wasn't attracting enough riders.

The Cordata bus, Route 15, will no longer circle Bellis Fair. It's only mall stop will be at Macy's. This change was made because turns onto Telegraph Avenue from northbound Meridian Street will no longer be allowed.

Route 55 serving Blaine and Birch Bay will stop serving downtown Ferndale and will no longer accept requests for a side trip to the Grandview Industrial Park. WTA officials are trying to improve Route 55's on-time performance.

Other, more minor changes will go into effect on other routes. Go to ridewta.com to check the latest schedules.
