Aguilera leads Ferndale boys' cross country to almost perfect score

Ferndale ran away with the boys' cross country meet against Nooksack Valley and Blaine, thanks to a score of 17 points, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Hovander Park in Ferndale. The Golden Eagles' score was just two points off a perfect score.

"It's the best score the Ferndale boys have had in my nine years," Ferndale coach Nick Carlson said in a phone interview. "They really dominated the front end of the field."

Roberto Aguilera won the race and led Ferndale with a time of 17:54, followed by teammates Kaleb Palmby at 18:44, and Wiley Wright at 19:40.

Nooksack Valley was led by Jordan Hem's time of 19:58, and Blaine was led by Parker Morris' time of 20:41.

Nooksack Valley will attend the South Whidbey Invite at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at South Whidbey, while Nooksack Valley and Blaine take the weekend off.
