THE BELLINGHAM HERALDSeptember 19, 2013

Bellingham boys' tennis blanked Sedro-Woolley 7-0, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Bellingham. The Red Raiders were led by Liam Miszczak's sweep of Charlie Rutherford, 6-0, 6-0.

Bellingham's Charlie Carmichael had a tough match with Ray Uzunov, but pulled off the victory after a long second set, 6-1, 7-5.

"(Carmichael) and Sam (Ferguson) had to grind in the second set of their matches," Bellingham coach Steve Chronister said in a phone interview. "It's good for them to have to play closely contested though."

Bellingham's next meet is against Anacortes at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, at Anacortes.
