Sehome girls' cross country scored 20 points to defeat Burlingon-Edison and Lynden Christian in a Northwest Conference meet, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Lake Padden Park. RaynJoy Norton of Burlington-Edison finished the 2.6 mile course first in a time of 14:56.
Sehome was led by Zanna Sullivan, who finished second in a time of 15:59, closely followed by teammates Emily Pittis and Ellie Rowan-Arnett at 16:16.
"Our girls ran a smart, conservative race today," Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview.
Lynden Christian was led by Sarah Ball's time of 18:08.
Lynden Christian will attend the Salt Creek Invite at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, in Port Angeles. Sehome's next meet is the South Whidbey Invite at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at South Whidbey.
