Sehome boys' cross country easily wins home meet

Sehome boys' cross country posted a score of 19 points to defeat Burlington-Edison and Lynden Christian, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Lake Padden Park. Sehome was led by race winner Kirby Overman's time of 13:40 at the 2.6 mile course.

Burlington-Edison was led by second place runner Wyatt Mullen, who came in at 13:59, followed by Sehome's Riley Allsop at 14:20.

"We went out, ran smart and executed the gameplan today," Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone inverview.

Lynden Christian was led by Jon Wiley, who came in at 15:11.

Sehome will attend the South Whidbey Invite at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at South Whidbey. Lynden Christian's next meet is the Salt Creek Invite at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, in Port Angeles.
