The Sehome boys' tennis team scored three three-set wins to lead the Mariners to a 6-1 Northwest Conference win against Squalicum Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Sehome.

Jeremy Delisle and Aaron Goldfogle, Brendan Friesen and John Vaughan and Henry and Darren Ma each lost their matches against Bellingham on Monday, Sept. 16, but the doubles trio rebounded against the Storm.

"They were feeling pretty down," said Sehome coach Bonna Giller of her doubles teams following the Bellingham match. "I was really impressed with how they bounced back and competed today. They didn't give up and came right back."

Singles players Brady Anderson, Max Shmotolohka and Reece Gilbert won in two sets. Squalicum's Kevin Smiley earned the Storm's lone win, beating Sam Humphreys in three sets.

Sehome next travels to Burlington-Edison while Squalicum travels to Sedro-Woolley. Both matches are at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20.
