The annual Bite of Bellingham takes place in a new venue in a new month - from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at Depot Market Square, Railroad Avenue at Maple Street.

The annual Bite of Bellingham takes place in a new venue in a new month - from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Depot Market Square, Railroad Avenue at Maple Street.

Presented by Downtown Bellingham Partnership, the event enables people to sample food from more than 20 Bellingham-area restaurants, with cuisine ranging from Cajun and pub fare to modern American and Chinese.

Restaurants compete to win titles of "Best Bite," "Dreamiest Drink," "Sweetest Sweet," "Best Gluten-Free Bite" and "Best Local Bite."

Participants include Alice's Pies, Bayou on Bay, Bellingham Flat Bread & Bakery, Brandywine Kitchen, Café Rumba, The Copper Hog, Goat Mountain Pizza, India Grill, Keenan's at the Pier, Mount Bakery, Pure Bliss Desserts, The Steakhouse at Silver Reef and The Table.
