The Lynden boys' tennis team bounced back from a season-opening loss to grab a 4-3 victory over Anacortes on Monday, Sept. 16, at Lynden High School.
At No. 1 doubles, the team of Ben Mulder and Dakota Davis earned a 6-1, 5-7, 6-0 victory.
"The (No. 1) doubles team, I was proud of them for finishing so strong and staying focused after the first set," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview.
Ballard also praised No. 1 singles player Grant Wolffis, who battled but lost 7-6 (2), 6-3.
The Lions also had wins from Drake Likkel and Kameron Muljat in singles and the team of Cody Engelsma and Austin VanderHaak in doubles.
