Sehome swimmers qualify for state

Sehome girls' swimming had three state-qualifying times Friday, Sept. 13, and Saturday, Sept. 14. On Friday at the Northwest Conference relay meet at Arne Hanna Aquatic Center, the team of Gwendolyn Roley, Hannah Holmgren, Shirley Lam and Sophie Grambo completed the 20 yard medley relay in 2:02.20 to qualify for the state swim meet.

Then on Saturday at the Spartan relays at Bainbridge Island, Roley qualified in the 200 freestyle after she swam her leg of the 800 free relay in 2:04.65. She also qualified in the 100 meter backstroke by swimming the leadoff leg of the 400 medley relay in 1:04.56.
