Squalicum swimmers qualify for state with top swims

The Squalicum girls' swim team posted a handful of strong times during the Northwest Conference Relays on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center.

The Storm's 200 medley relay team of Abby Vonfeldt, Josephine Hegeberg, Sydney Wang and Maddie Dohm swam a state-qualifying time of 1 minute, 56.6 seconds, and Wang's leadoff leg was strong enough to qualify her for the state meet's 50 free with a 25.7.

Squalicum's first meet is against Bellingham at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Arne Hanna Aquatic Center.
