Hearing for comments on proposed closure of one block of 20th Street in Bellingham

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDSeptember 14, 2013

BELLINGHAM - The public is asked to comment on a proposal to permanently close one block of 20th Street, between Wilson Avenue and Old Fairhaven Parkway.

The stretch of 20th Street has been closed since May for construction of a bridge over what will be a new course for Padden Creek. The land would be converted into creekside habitat and an area for filtering stormwater.

A public hearing on the proposed street closure will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, in City Hall, 210 Lottie St.
