Chris Fredlund and Dillon Rinauro led the way for Squalicum in a Northwest Conference boys' cross country meet between Squalicum, Meridian and Burlington-Edison on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Lake Padden Park. Fredlund finished the 2.6-mile course in 13 minutes, 44 seconds, with Rinauro not far behind at 13:56.
Collin Magnusson of Meridian rounded out the top three with a time of 14:06. Burlington-Edison's top runner was Wyatt Mullen with a time of 14:06. Jared Radtke was Squalicum's third runner with a time of 14:27, and Davis Phillips was Meridian's second runner with a time of 14:36.
Squalicum won the meet with 28 points, followed by Meridian with 40 and Burlington-Edison at 62.
All three teams will meet again at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Civic Field for the Sehome Invitational.
