Aguilera personal best paces Ferndale

Anacortes runners Zak Roxborough and Dylan Holland paced the field as Ferndale, Anacortes and Sedro-Woolley met on Wednesday, Sept. 11, for a Northwest Conference boys' cross country meet in Anacortes. Roxborough led the way with a time of 17 minutes, 10 seconds, and Holland was close at 17:16 over the 5K course.

Roberto Aguilera took third for Ferndale with a personal-best time of 17:21, beating his previous time by more than 40 seconds. Timmy Moser led Sedro-Woolley at 17:51.

Kaleb Palmby, Ferndale's second runner, finished sixth in the race with a time of 18:11. Wesley Cruse and Jacob Ramirez were neck-and-neck at third and fourth for Ferndale, with times of 20:03 and 20:04, respectively.

Leland Carter came in fifth for Ferndale at 20:42, followed by Jacob Vanlandingham at 21:32. Zach Sulak rounded out Ferndale's top seven with a time of 21:49.

Ferndale's next meet is at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Sehome Invitational at Civic Stadium.
