Umpqua Bank to take over Sterling Savings

Posted on September 11, 2013

Here's a link to a Tacoma News Tribune article about Oregon's Umpqua Bank taking over Sterling in a $2 billion deal. Upon completion of the merger, Sterling offices will take on the Umpqua name.

Sterling has loan offices in Bellingham and branches in Lynden, Blaine and Point Roberts. Umpqua doesn't have any Whatcom County branches.
