Mount Vernon slips past Sedro-Woolley


Mount Vernon beat Sedro-Woolley 13-7 during a non-conference game Friday, Sept. 6, in Sedro-Woolley.

The Bulldogs scored touchdowns on short runs in the first and second quarter, and Mount Vernon's defense held Sedro-Woolley to a single first-quarter touchdown.

Cubs running back Braden Blouin scored from 1 yard out in the second quarter.

The game was played on Sedro-Woolley's new artificial surface.
