Loonie rises based on strong Canadian jobs report

Posted on September 6, 2013

Here's a link to a Canadian dollar article by Bloomberg, which indicates that the Loonie strengthened significantly on Friday, Sept. 6.

One big factor, according to the article, is the better-than-expected Canadian jobs report. The Canadian economy added 59,200 jobs last month, nearly triple what economists expected. With the markets about to close, the Canadian dollar is equivalent to about 96 U.S. cents.
