Here are some interesting items I noticed in the latest Bellingham building permit applications:

Accepted, but not yet issued:

-- 1225 E. Sunset Dr., remodel former Starbucks space next to Cost Cutter into a pharmacy.

-- 1115 E. Sunset Dr., remodel the former movie theater into classrooms and a warehouse for Goodwill.

-- 1140 10th St., an application to put in the foundation for a new mixed-use building near the Village Green in Fairhaven.

-- At Bellis Fair mall, a new TCBY frozen yogurt eatery to go in at the food court.

Issued permits:

-- 113 N. Samish Way, a tenant improvement permit to put in a new deli called Goodfellers Gourmet Grinders.
