FERNDALE -The annual Fiestas Patrias parade and festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 7.
The parade will begin at noon at 4th Avenue and Alder Street, ending at Pioneer Park. The festival happens in the park, 2004 Cherry St., from noon to 6 p.m. and will feature food, music and dancing. Local performers and groups from Canada are scheduled to appear.
Organized by the Northwest Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the festival celebrates Hispanic culture.
Other events include a low-rider show and competition, and a dance starting at 7 p.m.
Festival admission is $2. Children under 12 get in free.
