The vehicle ferry between Gooseberry Point and Lummi Island will be out of service for annual maintenance for an estimated three weeks, starting Wednesday, Sept. 4.
A passenger-only ferry will take the place of the Whatcom Chief while it's in dry dock. Parking at Gooseberry Point is allowed only in posted areas. A 14-person shuttle van will serve Lummi Island during passenger-only service.
The Whatcom Chief is tentatively scheduled to return on Thursday, Sept. 26. Updates will be provided during dry dock. For more information, see whatcomchief.org or call 360-676-6692.
