Studio tour showcases 28 Lummi Island artists

Artist Ria Harboe is participating in this year's free, self-guided Lummi Island Artists' Studio Tour, which offers displays of artwork of 28 island artists from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1, 2013.

The free, self-guided Lummi Island Artists' Studio Tour offers displays of artwork of 28 island artists from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1.

Drive or bike around the island to open studios to see paintings, drawings, sculpture, pottery, photography, woodwork, jewelry and fiber arts.

Going north from Bellingham, take exit 260 off of Interstate 5, then travel left (west) onto Slater Road, then left again at Haxton Way to Gooseberry Point.

The Whatcom Chief ferry departs at 10 minutes past the hour. Tour maps are available at The Islander Store and at Lummi-Island.com. Details: 360-758-2815 or 758-7121.
