Northwest Passage Theater presents Chekhov's 'The Seagull'



Northwest Passage Theater presents its workshop production of Chekhov's "The Seagull," Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30-31, 2013, at Inspire Studio.

Northwest Passage Theater presents its workshop production of "The Seagull," Chekhov's play about fame, death, loneliness, love, art, dreams, insanity, fear of failure, love again, and one dead seagull. The new translation of the play by Moti Margolin is directed by Glenn Hergenhahn.

The play opens with a reception at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Inspire Studio, 1411 Cornwall Ave., with live music, appetizers, drinks, the play and desserts and wine to follow. Proceeds benefit Northwest Passage's new experimental Theater Lab, which will begin its inaugural season this fall.

The play is also presented at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.

Admission is $25 Friday, $10 Saturday, with advance tickets through Brown Paper Tickets.
