The Puget Sound Fly Fishers will hold a free demonstration day Saturday.

“This is not a sales event. Demo Day is where some of our favorite outfitters come to show off their latest fly fishing gear,” club member Mike Hardouin said in a news release. “You can try out new rods, reels, lines and other gear just for fun.”

On hand will be fly shop staffers and manufacturer representatives, such as Gary Sandstrom with Hardy SA and Royal Wulff Products, Dick Sagara from Temple Fork and Rainy Flies and Rodmounts, and Leland Miyawaki of Orvis Fly Shop.

Several certified fly casting instructors and fly tyers will be on hand.

The club also will hold a raffle to benefit their philanthropic programs, including education, conservation and the Northwest Youth Fly Fishing Academy.

The event will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Fircrest Community Center, 555 Contra Costa Ave., Fircrest.
