Vaughn wins first career 1200 feature

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDAugust 18, 2013

Nate Vaughn led all 25 laps of the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 A-Main on Friday, Aug. 16, at Deming Speedway. It was Vaughn's first career victory in the division. Jared Gundersen and Brock Lemley came in second and third, respectively, behind Vaughn.

Like Vaughn, Jared Peterson won the 600 Open A-Main in wire-to-wire fashion. If not for race restarts, Peterson would have never been challenged, with Chase Schmidt and Liam Ryan coming in second and third, respectively.

Tanner Holm won the 600 Restricted A-Main for the fourth time this season. Holm benefitted of a lap-one caution that shuffled the first and second rows, putting him in prime position to take the lead in the opening lap. Chance Crum came in second followed by Dylan Resch in third.

Haley Constance won her second Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints race of the year. She took the lead from Cain Cress on lap 12, never relinquishing it from there.
