Public welcome at Uniflite workers' reunion in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM - The public is welcome to a reunion of Uniflite workers and Vietnam War veterans who manned Uniflite-built river boats (PBRs), to be held at the Bellingham International Maritime Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

Art Nordtvedt, founder of Uniflite and "father" of the PBR, will be the featured speaker at 1 p.m.

The museum at 800 Cornwall Ave. has a PBR on display as part of its collection. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Online: bellinghammaritimemuseum.org.
