Summer Meltdown music festival opens Thursday near Darrington

The Summer Meltdown, from Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 8-11, at Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater near Darrington, includes Minus the Bear, Xavier Rudd, The Cave Singers (pictured), Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, and Lotus.

The Summer Meltdown, taking place Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 8-11, at Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater, 42501 Highway 530, near Darrington, hosts some of the biggest names and upcoming talent across all genres of music, from funk to rock to folk.

Bands this year include Minus the Bear, Xavier Rudd, The Cave Singers, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, and Lotus.
