O'Brien takes late lead to win at Deming

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDAugust 4, 2013

Dustin O'Brien, Eric Drake, Dylan Resch and Lyden Lebedinski all reached victory lane on Friday, Aug. 2, at Deming Speedway.

O'Brien took home the win in the 600 Open A-Main final, passing Austin Sheridan on lap 18 to take the lead. O'Brien had to stave off Jared Peterson, who was hard charging.

Drake led every lap of the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 Main Event. Drake fended off Nate Vaughn for much of the race, never panicking and running a smooth, clean line for the win. Vaughn finished second, and Jared Gundersen took third.

Resch endured a very similar feature to what Drake ran, taking the point early and holding off Ashleigh Johnson for all 25 laps to secure his second 600 Restricted A-Main.

Lebedinski took home a win in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints, picking up his sixth win in 2013.
