THE BELLINGHAM HERALD

Primary ballots must be postmarked or dropped off by Tuesday, Aug. 6, to be valid.

In Whatcom County, only voters in the Blaine and Bellingham areas have ballots. They will vote for candidates for Blaine and Bellingham city councils and the Bellingham School Board. The top two vote-getters in the primary move on to the November ballot.

Information on candidates, including their responses about key issues in their districts, can be found at bellinghamherald.com/voter-guide.

The postal service recommends mailing ballots no later than Monday, Aug. 5, to ensure a valid postmark. Or drop them off in boxes at the Blaine Library, 610 3rd St., the Auditor's Office in the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave. in Bellingham, or the box in the courthouse parking lot.

Bellingham Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
