Medford sweeps Bellingham Bells


The Bellingham Bells suffered a three-game sweep at home after a 10-6 loss to Medford on Thursday, Aug. 1, at Joe Martin Field.

Bellingham's Johnny Sewald scored on a passed ball in the first inning, Alex Calbick hit a three-run home run in the third inning and Johnny Farrington hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning.

Bells starting pitcher Chris Van Dyke gave up two hits and five runs - four earned - and walked three batters in two innings to take the loss.
