Visitors to Blaine Harbor can celebrate everything maritime at Drayton Harbor Days, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3-4.

Highlights include a 5k Run to the Border; displays of wooden, classic and steam boats (as well as model boats); a pirate-costume contest; rides on the Plover ferry; and the 12th annual Prestigious George Raft Race.

The Alaska Packers Association Museum at Semiahmoo County Park will also be open both days for people to learn the rich history of Blaine's cannery and fishing days.

On Sunday only, the tall ships Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington will offer dockside tours and sails; details at historicalseaport.org.
