Mount Baker Rhythm & Blues Festival opens Aug. 2

The Mount Baker Rhythm & Blues Festival, a recent recipient of the Blues Foundation's 2013 Keeping the Blues Alive award for best festival in the United States, hosts Shane Dwight with Bekka Bramlett, Aaron Jones & the Way, the Fat Tones, Kal David & Real Deal, the Chris Eger Band, California Transit Authority, Anthony Gomes, Trampled Under Foot, Hamilton Loomis, Wired, Blues Redemption and others, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 2-4, at the Deming Logging Show grounds, 3295 Cedarville Road, near Nugents Corner.

Camping is available. Ticket prices vary, and are available at Avalon Music in Bellingham.
