WWU climbs up list of Forbes' top colleges

BELLINGHAM - Forbes Magazine ranked Western Washington University among the nation's top colleges again this year, with the school climbing up several spots on the listing from last year.

The university landed at No. 339 on the magazine's annual list of America's Top 650 Colleges, up from 353 in 2012.

In the state, WWU ranked third among public universities, behind University of Washington and Washington State University.

The Forbes rankings are based on five categories: post-graduate success, student satisfaction, student debt, four-year graduation rate, and nationally competitive awards won by students.
