Bells shelled late in loss to AppleSox


The Bellingham Bells had a 3-2 lead until the wheels fell off and they allowed nine runs in the bottom of the eighth en route to an 11-3 loss Thursday, July 25, at Wenatchee.

Reliever Jake Ehret gave up the lead while not recording an out in the eighth and then Will Dennis was tagged for seven runs on six hits in the same inning.

Bellingham's Alex Calbick had an RBI single in the fifth inning, Jake Bailey singled in a run in sixth and then Trent Chatterton added an unearned run in the sixth.

Bells starter Nick Baker gave up two runs on eight hits in seven innings of work.
