Early runs the difference in Bells win

The Bellingham Bells and Wenatchee AppleSox could have avoided playing eight more innings Wednesday, July 24, in Wenatchee as all the runs were scored in the first inning.

The Bells won the game 6-2, and Jason Hager clamped down on the AppleSox after that first inning.

In the first inning, Ryan Kirby had a 2-RBI double, Johnny Farrington singled in a run, Jake Bailey had an RBI single, Farrington scored on a wild pitch and Trent Chatterton singled in a run.

Hager gave up two runs on five hits in eight innings for the victory.
