Old Settlers picnic coming to Pioneer Park

In honor of America's original western settlers, Ferndale was saturated with red, white and blue for the Old Settlers Grand Parade as locals marched down Main Street on July 30, 2011.

The Whatcom Old Settlers 118th Annual Picnic takes place Thursday through Sunday, July 25-28, at Pioneer Park in Ferndale.

Events include a kids' parade Friday evening; a Grand Parade Saturday morning, and stage entertainment, kids' events, a petting zoo and a car show that day; and a bike show Sunday, plus craft and food booths, a beer garden and 14 historic log cabins to visit.
