Bells struggle at plate in loss


The Bellingham Bells only had four hits as they lost 3-1 on Sunday, July 21, at Walla Walla.

The Bells only run was off Alex Calbick's first-inning solo home run.

Bells starter Andrew Freter gave up three runs on six hits in six innings of work to take the loss. Freter did strike out six in the outing.

Bellingham is off for the West Coast League All-Star game and resumes play at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Wenatchee.
