B y the numbers That is the approximate number of meteors that should be seen per hour when the Southern Delta Aquarids meteor shower peaks on July 28-29. Some meteors will be visible through Aug. 18. Because the last quarter moon will be visible those nights, its light might hide some of the fainter meteors. Best viewing is in a dark location with a good view to the east. Viewing the meteor shower will be best after midnight.
