Public hearing set on 106-home subdivision in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM - The public will have one more chance to comment on a proposed subdivision with 106 single-family lots on 34 acres at the end of James Street, north of East Kellogg Road.

The developer's applications include requests to allow streets narrower than the city standard and sidewalks only on one side of the cul-de-sacs, which would also be an exception to the city standard.

City staff has recommended that the hearing examiner approve the requests and the overall applications for the King Mountain subdivision.

The hearing examiner will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at City Hall, 210 Lottie St.
